Contribute Your Voice to an International Conversation on Adolescent Pregnancy.
Join Swiss photographer Felix Bucher‘s Girl Interrupted, a powerful photo exhibition and international awareness campaign focusing on the stories and experiences of adolescent mothers in Switzerland and Tanzania.
About Girl Interrupted & On Board Together:
Girl Interrupted is more than an exhibition; it’s a platform for change. Partnering with On Board Together (OBT), this initiative aims to:
- Educate young people about informed parenthood decisions in light of the fact that there will be 12 million teen mothers worldwide in 2025.
- Empower communities to support young mothers.
- Break down the stigma surrounding adolescent pregnancy.
- Help young mothers build capacity and achieve self-sufficiency, creating sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their children through partnerships with local NGOs.
A Unique Opportunity for Tanzanian Artists:
As Girl Interrupted prepares to exhibit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, we are seeking talented Tanzanian artists to contribute their unique perspectives on adolescent pregnancy. Your artwork and storytelling will enrich the exhibition, broaden our campaign’s reach, and foster intercultural dialogue between Switzerland and Tanzania.
We believe Art can be a powerful catalyst for change.
The Girl Interrupted exhibition will tour in East Africa and culminate in October 2027 with a three-day forum in Arusha, showcasing artwork from across the region. The forum will gather experts – NGOs, policymakers, UN representatives, the diplomatic community, and the private sector – to facilitate conversations that drive meaningful change within communities.
